Shrub Identification

Come learn to identify
trees and shrubs before leaf-out.
Early spring is a great time to get outdoors and you can study the winter buds
of woody without the frigid temperatures or biting insects. The first part of this
course will be indoors, focusing on botanical terminology, plant morphology, and biology. The second and longer section will be held outdoors with
the goal of identifying plants in the field and learning about their ecology. This workshop can serve as an excellent introduction for the Aton Forest Invasive Plant
Workshop on April 7th.
Bring a hand lens, as well as a
notebook and pencil. Please dress
appropriately for weather.
